Heliskiier waiting for a landing helicopter on top of a remote peak near Maniitsoq, West Greenland

Heliskiing

Incomparable views of the Greenland Ice Sheet and an enormous number of glaciers, as well as a front row seat to see the dancing Northern Lights make Destination Arctic Circle a world-class heliskiing destination.

The area between Maniitsoq and Sisimiut features the tallest mountains on the west coast of Greenland with 2000m drops from summit to fjord. Access to these peaks is difficult without a helicopter due to their steepness, the large number of glaciers that cut through them, and the fjords at their base. This makes them the perfect target for heliskiiers looking for pristine first runs. The season runs from April to June.
